What are the core processes that make up a bio-organic fertilizer production line?
Bio-organic fertilizer relies on organic waste such as livestock and poultry manure, straw, and bacterial residues and is processed through microbial fermentation. It has the function of improving soil and supplying nutrients. A standardized bio-organic fertilizer production line mainly includes eight core processes: raw material pretreatment, aerobic fermentation and decomposition, crushing and screening, ingredient mixing, granulation and molding, drying and cooling, screening and coating, and finished product packaging. Each link is interlocked and directly determines the number of viable bacteria in the fertilizer, the degree of decomposition and the quality of the finished product.
Raw material pretreatment is the starting point of production. After the raw materials enter the site, first remove impurities such as stones and plastics, then mix them according to the carbon-nitrogen ratio requirements, adjust the moisture content of the materials, add fermentation bacteria, and mix evenly. Only by controlling the particle size and moisture content of raw materials can we create stable conditions for subsequent fermentation and reduce the risk of fermentation failure.
Aerobic fermentation and ripening is the core process of the entire production line. The material is fed into the fermentation tank or stack, and a compost turning machine is used to regularly turn the pile to supply oxygen, maintain a high temperature of 55-70°C for a period of time, kill insect eggs and harmful bacteria, decompose macromolecular organic matter into easily absorbable small molecule substances, and complete the harmless and decomposition treatment. Insufficient fermentation can easily cause root burn and carry pathogenic bacteria, while excessive fermentation can result in the loss of nutrients.
After the decomposition is completed, it enters the crushing and screening process. The decomposed material has a lot of agglomerates. It is crushed by the crusher and then screened out by the vibrating screen to remove large impurities to obtain powder with uniform fineness, which lays a good foundation for batching and granulation.
In the ingredient mixing process, functional bacteria, medium and trace elements are accurately added according to the formula, and thoroughly mixed in the mixer. This step is the key to ensure that the product's nutrients are balanced and the viable bacteria index reaches the standard. Powder fertilizer can be packaged directly after mixing; granular fertilizer enters the granulation process.
For granulation, a disc granulator or a new type organic fertilizer granulator is commonly used to process loose powder into uniform particles for easy storage, transportation and application. After granulation, low-temperature drying and cooling are performed to strictly control the temperature to avoid high temperature killing beneficial microorganisms; after cooling, the strength of the granules increases and is not easy to break.
The cooled particles are screened again to separate qualified particles, fine powder and large lumps, and unqualified materials are returned to be re-granulated. Products in demand are added with a coating process to wrap a protective layer to delay the release of nutrients, reduce moisture absorption and clumping, and protect the beneficial living bacteria inside.
The last step is automatic measurement and packaging. After passing the inspection, the bags are sealed and stored in the warehouse. The entire process takes into account environmental protection and quality, converting agricultural waste into high-quality bio-organic fertilizer to help improve the quality of cultivated land and develop green agriculture.
