What are the production processes of bulk blended fertilizer?

Bulk blended fertilizer, also known as BB fertilizer, is a high-efficiency fertilizer made by scientifically mixing various single-element granular fertilizers according to soil testing and formula requirements. It features balanced nutrients, strong adaptability, and high production efficiency. Its production process does not require complex chemical reactions; it relies on standardized physical processing. The bulk blended fertilizer production line mainly consists of five core processes, each interconnected and directly determining the fertilizer quality and application effect.

The first process is raw material pretreatment, which is the foundation for ensuring product quality. The main raw materials are urea, phosphate fertilizer, potash fertilizer, and micronutrient fertilizers. Workers first screen and remove impurities from various raw materials, using vibrating screens to remove lumps, powder, and impurities, ensuring uniform particle size. Simultaneously, the dryness of the raw materials is checked; damp materials are air-dried to prevent stratification and clumping during subsequent mixing, laying a solid foundation for accurate proportioning and uniform mixing.

The second process is precise ingredient metering, a crucial step in formula implementation. Based on the fertilization formulas for different crops and soils, the automatic batching system strictly sets the proportions of various raw materials. The equipment employs a high-precision weighing device to accurately weigh the amount of each raw material, minimizing batching errors. Feeding follows the principle of "heavy before light, large before small," adding denser phosphorus and potassium fertilizers first, followed by lighter nitrogen fertilizers, effectively avoiding material stratification and ensuring accurate nutrient ratios.

The third process is uniform mixing, a core step in production. The proportioned raw materials are fed into the BB fertilizer mixer via an elevator. The tumbling and stirring action of the equipment ensures that particles of different nutrients are fully integrated, guaranteeing uniform nutrient distribution in each fertilizer batch. The mixing uniformity meets industry standards, preventing localized nutrient imbalances.

The fourth process is finished product screening and protective treatment. The mixed fertilizer undergoes another vibrating screen to remove any small lumps and fine powder generated during mixing, ensuring uniform particle size. Anti-caking agents can be sprayed as needed to improve fertilizer storage stability. The fertilizer is then naturally cooled to prevent moisture absorption and deterioration caused by high-temperature packaging. Dust removal equipment is installed during production to recycle dust and waste, achieving cleaner production and reducing costs while increasing efficiency.

The final step is automated packaging and warehousing. Qualified finished fertilizer is precisely weighed, bagged, sealed, and coded using automated equipment, with information such as product formula and production date printed on the packaging. After packaging, it is transferred and palletized via conveyor equipment before being stored in the warehouse. The entire process is efficient and standardized, ensuring stable quality and uniform specifications for blended fertilizers.
