How a BB Fertilizer Production Line Operates

A BB fertilizer production line centers on physical mixing rather than complex chemical reactions. Through precise proportioning, efficient blending, and rigorous quality control, it processes granular fertilizers containing various nutrients into customized blends tailored to specific crop requirements. Characterized by flexible formulations, low production costs, and high efficiency, the operational process can be divided into five core stages, each interconnected to ensure product quality.

Raw material pretreatment serves as the foundation of the production line's operation. Operators feed primary raw materials—such as urea, diammonium phosphate (DAP), and potassium chloride—along with trace elements like borax and zinc sulfate, into their respective main and auxiliary storage bins. These bins are equipped with moisture-proofing and anti-caking devices to prevent material deterioration. Simultaneously, raw materials undergo inspection and screening to ensure uniform particle size (1–4 mm) and a moisture content of ≤1%. Any substandard materials are crushed and reprocessed before use, thereby guaranteeing mixing uniformity right from the source.

Precise batching is the critical factor in the production of BB fertilizers. The production line utilizes a PLC control system that, based on preset formulas, employs an automatic batching system to precisely regulate the proportion of each raw material added. The margin of error is maintained within ±0.5%, while certain high-end production lines can achieve an accuracy exceeding 99.8%. Various raw materials are conveyed through independent channels into weighing hoppers, where real-time sensors verify their weights, thereby ensuring that the proportions of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and trace elements are precisely tailored to meet the specific requirements of the crops and soil.

The efficient mixing stage ensures the uniform fusion of nutrients. The batched raw materials are fed into a BB fertilizer mixer, which operates at a rotational speed of 20–30 revolutions per minute. The mixing duration is controlled within 3–5 minutes; through tumbling and agitation, particles of varying densities and sizes are thoroughly blended, resulting in a coefficient of variation of ≤5%. Furthermore, the process employs a "heavy-to-light" feeding sequence and anti-segregation technologies to prevent nutrient separation during subsequent transportation.

The packaging and dust removal stage completes the finished product processing and environmental management. The uniformly mixed fertilizer is conveyed to an automatic packaging machine, which performs automatic weighing, bag stitching, and code printing. Each bag is weighed to between 40 and 50 kg, with a weight tolerance of ≤±0.5 kg. High-end production lines are also equipped with robotic palletizing systems to further enhance operational efficiency. Dust generated during the production process is captured by a pulse dust collector, achieving a recovery rate exceeding 95%. The recovered dust can be reused, a practice that is both environmentally friendly and conserves raw materials.

Quality control is maintained throughout the entire process, culminating in the final dispatch of finished products. Through a combination of online monitoring and batch sampling, the production line rigorously tests key parameters—such as nutrient content, particle size, and moisture levels—to ensure full compliance with national standards. Compliant finished products are stored in the designated finished goods warehouse, while any non-compliant products are returned for reprocessing. The entire production line is powered by an automated control system capable of storing multiple formulations and flexibly adjusting production parameters. This enables large-scale, precision-driven operations, thereby providing modern agriculture with highly efficient and customized fertilization solutions.
