The disc fertilizer granulator is the core equipment in organic and compound fertilizer production lines. Renowned for its advantages—specifically uniform granulation and ease of operation—it is widely utilized across various fertilizer processing applications. At the heart of its working principle lies the utilization of mechanical equilibrium and physical agglomeration to transform powdery raw materials into granular fertilizers. This entire process requires no complex chemical reactions; instead, efficient granulation is achieved solely through precise equipment control.

The device's core operational component is an inclined granulation disc, typically positioned at an angle of 30° to 50° relative to the horizontal plane; this "golden angle" serves as the fundamental basis for the granulation process. Upon activation, the transmission system drives the disc to rotate at a constant speed of 15–25 revolutions per minute (rpm). Powdery fertilizer raw materials are fed uniformly into the disc via a feeding mechanism, while a spraying device simultaneously dispenses an appropriate amount of water or binding agent to create the necessary conditions for particle formation.

The key to successful granulation lies in the tripartite equilibrium between centrifugal force, gravity, and friction. Centrifugal force compels the raw materials to adhere to the inner wall of the disc and move upward; gravity causes the materials to slide downward along the inclined surface; and friction promotes mutual rubbing and adhesion among the raw material particles. Under the combined influence of these three forces, the powdery raw materials first agglomerate to form tiny "nuclei"—marking the initial stage of particle formation.

As the disc continues to rotate, these tiny nuclei continuously adsorb surrounding powdery raw materials during their rolling motion, gradually growing in size much like a rolling snowball. Simultaneously, centrifugal force continuously polishes and rounds the particles, ensuring that the finished product is spherical and smooth, with a sphericity rate exceeding 90%. The precise synchronization of the disc's rim height with its rotational speed further guarantees optimal granulation results, preventing raw materials from spilling over or particles from forming unevenly.

Once the particles have grown to the preset size specifications (typically 2–8 mm), gravity causes them to automatically discharge over the rim of the disc and proceed to the subsequent screening stage. The screened, qualified granules then move on to the packaging process, while any small quantity of unformed powder is returned to the disc for re-granulation, thereby ensuring the efficient recycling of raw materials. The entire operation of the disc fertilizer granulator machine requires no complex procedures; by simply adjusting the disc's inclination angle, rotational speed, and water spray volume, it can adapt to the specific characteristics of various raw materials, thereby ensuring both granulation efficiency and granule quality to provide high-quality granular fertilizers for agricultural production.
