What to Pay Attention to When Using a Large Wheel Compost Turning machine?
As a core piece of equipment in an organic fertilizer production line, the safe and standardized operation of a large wheel compost turning machine not only ensures the personal safety of operators but also improves the fermentation quality of materials and extends the service life of the equipment. This is a key point emphasized by many fertilizer machinery manufacturers when delivering equipment. In actual use, it is necessary to control the entire process in three stages: before operation, during operation, and after operation.
A comprehensive inspection before operation is the cornerstone of safety. Before starting the equipment, first, clean the work site, removing stones, branches, and other debris to prevent damage to the turning blades from impacts with hard objects. Also, confirm that the material accumulation height is within the equipment's operating range. Secondly, a "full body check" of the equipment is required: check whether the rotary blades are loose, whether the transmission chain tension is appropriate, whether the tire pressure of the walking device is normal, and add lubricating oil to all lubrication points to ensure smooth operation. Checking the electrical system is equally crucial; confirm that the power cord is undamaged, the motor insulation is in good condition, the control system buttons and indicator lights are normal, and eliminate the risk of electrical leakage.
Standardized operation during the operation process is the core requirement. When starting up, follow the sequence of "main unit first, then moving parts." First, let the wheel run unloaded to confirm correct direction before slowly lowering it to the material layer. During operation, adjust parameters according to material characteristics. For sticky materials, reduce wheel speed and increase moving speed; for loose materials, do the opposite. Constantly monitor the equipment's operating status. If abnormal noise or blades hitting the ground occurs, stop the machine immediately for adjustments to avoid overloading and damaging the transmission system. Maintain a constant speed to ensure even material turning and achieve the fermentation requirement of sufficient air contact.
Post-operation maintenance is crucial for long-term effectiveness. After each operation, promptly clean material residue from the wheel and blades to prevent corrosive materials from damaging the equipment. If paint peeling is found, repaint immediately. Regularly maintain the reducer and hydraulic system. Change the reducer lubricating oil after 100 hours of operation for a new machine, and then every 1000 hours thereafter. Clean the hydraulic system filter after 200 hours of operation. For long-term storage, apply rust prevention treatment and place in a dry, well-ventilated area to prepare for the next operation.
In addition, the power supply to the large wheel compost turning machine must be cut off and warning signs must be hung during maintenance to prevent accidental start-up and safety accidents, and to truly achieve both safe operation and efficient work.
