What equipment is required for biofertilizer production?
Bio-organic fertilizer production lines require a complete set of equipment to transform raw materials into finished products. Core equipment can be categorized into five main categories based on the production process, ensuring efficient production and quality standards for organic fertilizer.
During the raw material pretreatment stage, a crusher is the primary piece of equipment. Since bio-organic fertilizer raw materials are mostly livestock and poultry manure, straw, and mushroom residue, a pulverizer is required to crush lumps of raw materials to a particle size of 20 mesh or less. This not only reduces dead corners during subsequent fermentation but also improves the uniformity of raw material mixing.
The fermentation process relies on a trough type compost turner or a windrow compost turner. These devices regularly turn the fermented materials, increasing their contact area with air, regulating the compost temperature (maintaining it within the high-temperature composting range of 55-65°C), accelerating the decomposition of organic matter, and killing insect eggs and pathogens. Large-scale production lines also require fermentation tanks and temperature control systems for automated monitoring of the fermentation process.
After the materials mature, they enter the further processing stage, where a drum screener machine is indispensable. It separates uncomposted impurities from qualified materials, ensuring a uniform particle size in the finished product. The qualified materials typically have a particle size of 1-3mm. For the production of granular organic fertilizer, a granulator is required. Common examples include disc granulators and rotary drum granulators. These granulate the powdered material into strong, resistant granules, improving product quality.
Finally, in the finished product processing stage, a dryer removes moisture from the fertilizer.A cooler lowers the temperature of the granulated material (from 60-80°C to room temperature) to prevent moisture absorption and clumping. A quantitative packaging machine automates weighing and bagging, precisely controlling the weight of each bag (typically 25kg or 50kg), improving packaging efficiency and reducing labor costs.
In addition, the entire production line requires a belt conveyor connecting the various equipment, as well as a centralized electronic control system to ensure coordinated operation of all links, enabling enterprises to achieve large-scale, standardized production of bio-organic fertilizers.
